Astute investors have taken the plunge and are pouring money into marina berths along the Queensland Coast as the waiting list to secure marina space surpasses 2000.

Meridien Marinas chief executive Warwick Bible says investors have been quick to recognise the phenomenal growth in the value of marina berths.  He says the prices of 12m berths at Meridien Marinas Horizon Shores at Pimpama have increased by 33 per cent in the past 18 months.

"We have sold all 132 berths in the first stage of the marina's redevelopment," says Bible.
